Wow.

I can't believe how long it has been since my last post. Thank you the true and faithful readers who have stuck with me through the days of writing famine. I salute you!

Dan has been working the early shift. It's so early (He's up by 3:45). I can't hack it. It's just nuts. (Mind you, I have been getting up at 4:30 almost every day since Henry was born, but he lets me go back to sleep!) Anyway, I have adopted this wierd stay up late and get stuff done mode. I stay up, clean the kitchen, make up Dan's lunch for the next day (by choice, I would not want to make my lunch at 3:45 am!) and get ready for bed by 1am. It's not enough sleep, and I don't see Dan as much as I would like to. I CAN"T WAIT for him to be back to his regular shift. At least then we are waking and sleeping at the same times. Bring on the second shift!!!

I am very excited about our big date tomorrow. We were talking about how much we love movies, but we have not been to one since last summer or early fall. With my bedrest and frequent trips to the bathroom, I could not handle them. Then Dear sweet H-Dawg came along, and I have not been without him ever since. I don't want to be away from Henry, but would like to share a move with my husband. Answer? DRIVE IN!!!

I looked it up online, and there is a new drive in movie theatre about 20 minutes from our house! Can you believe it? We arre going to see the Pirates of the Carribean movie, as well as the new Pixar Ratatouille. (Is that how it is spelled? It's french...I should know.)

I will be able to spend the evening with both my boys, and I can't wait!

I have lots of work stuff to get done tomorrow, so hopefully I will be able to get it done quickly.

Here are some pics to tide you over with your Henry fix. He's almost 6 months old! I am almost starting to get the baby jones again. TOO SOON! But they are so cute! He's cute now, too. He has his two teeth. He is biting some (OUCH!), but I want to keep nursing, so I'll see how he does with that. He is also saying DADADADA. Of course. Sass Pants. The pictures are with a Red Sox Jersey to represent the Boston roots from my job, and his sweet Aunt Erin and Uncle Brian.

Must be off to bed. Love and Kisses, M.

Hot Hot Hot

I had my first REAL baby sickness tonight. We had gone to the mall tonight to finally get me a pedicure and manicure (my first since Henry was born.) When we got home, It was warm upstairs, and I think Henry got overheated. I was trying to nurse him, and cool him off. Did not work. I ended up with a very unhappy baby, and covered with baby VOMIT. I learned the difference tonight between spit up and vomit. This was defnintely the latter. Poor thing. All I could do was get him calmed down, and sit there in my soaked nightgown.
Dan has to work at 5am, so he needed to be in bed. The vomitorium happened after he had been in bed, so he lost some precious zzzzzs. It's going to be a long day for him tomorrow.
I think I may sleep downstairs, just in case we have another incident. I'm going to try to give him a sleeping dose of tylenol (have you ever done that?), and that should take care of any temperature he had.
I think we are going to have to have our HVAC guy come over and help us wuth this upstairs/downstairs temperature discrepancy. Hopefully he can help.
Other than that, we are plugging along.
Thank God tomorrow is Friday!

Midwest Hurricane!!!!

Ok, I'm not sure if they are calling it a hurricane, but the storm coming today will have hurrican force winds. If it were in the South, it would be classified as a hurricane. Yikes. Henry and I are going to hang around home, just in case.
Did I mention that half the news casts up here are all about the weather? In Chicago, it was like two minutes of what you needed to know. Here, it is closer to 30 minutes about the weather! Really! They talk about it forever. And it is always SEVERE! The SEVERE WEATHER FORECAST! Although, today, they might be right.
I took some pictures of Henry in his Celtics uniform from Anne, it is SO CUTE. I'll download them and post them soon.
Love lots,
M.

WOW. IT's been a while.

I am still adjusting to this new way of life. Some days, I fly through without a care in the world. Others, I think this was a little bit of a tough choice, and I wonder how I am going to get it all done. (Staying home AND working. Not staying home. I'm happy about that choice.)
I caught a monster cold on Saturday somehow, and now it had decided to move from my head into my chest. Painful, but I don't really care as long as Henry doesn't get sick. Oh please God, don't let Henry get sick.
We finally were able to schedule the Baptism, and I'm really excited about it. We are only inviting immediate family (brothers, sisters, parents, and grandparents) as our house is small, and I don't want to rent out a venue for the occasion. I am really excited it is happening, though.
I am still working through our fight with the movers to pay for the stuff they broke. Oh, joy.
Other than that, things are good. Henry is still not really sleeping any later than 4:30 am. I tried keeping him up until 10:30 last night. End result? He slep until 4:30am. Hrmm. Any tips on this, mommies out there? (Monica and Joanne, this means you...)
I'm looking at my work, and thinking I should do that instead of blogging while Henry is sleeping. More soon.

XOXO.
M.
P.S. It's any day now for Kari and Pete's baby. GO BABY!
