The taxman cometh...

I am really worried about tax time. Last year it was expensive- so we are going to a local CPA recommended by a friend we trust. I can't wait until it is over, just so I can wrap my mind around whatever it is we owe. The unkown is usually worse than dealing with actual numbers.
Henry seems to be sick again. I think he is over his bacterial infection, and on to a viral infection. Last day of the antibiotics today, so that will be nice. (I still have like 7 days left or something...)
If anyone every hands your 2 year old a wooden mallet and nail set while you are holding them, tell them it is not a good idea. Luckily, I recover fast from a mallet to the occular cavity...
I have lots of work to do, but have only been able to complete the items that are actually "on fire." Hopefully this week will be productive.
I have been thinking a lot about what to give up for lent. On my fly lady site, she talks about giving away items to charity every day for 40 days- like 40 bags of donations. It would be giving up material clutter, helping other people, and helping out our environment.
It's either that or coffee, and we all know that is not going to happen. :)

Peace Coffee

My sister in law Erin turned me on to the lovely Peace Coffee. It's heavenly.
Recently, she saw they had a craft corner in their newsletter, and I just had to contribute.
Here is my submission- (The internets are not letting me upload pics now- I'll post them soon...)
It should be included in the Feb. Newsletter, as long as I had the pictures in on time.
I'm reducing my coffee waste! Niiiiice.
Last night, I noticed some green goo coming out of Henry's eyes. a trip to the after hours physician and the pharmacy, and now he has nicely flavored pink goo to combat the green goo. (Possible eye infection, definite ear infection, probably occured by the plane making a vacuum in his ear canal and sucking in germs from the dirty dirty plane. )
Dan is working today, so as soon as Henry is awake, I think we will run some mommy and H-dawg errands. It will be nice to get out.

P.S. How long does it take to download 181 Hawaii pictures to Sam's club for printing? Exactly 204 minutes. Give or take an hour....

It has been a long time.

Vacation in Maui was fun. I have many things to say about going on vacation with your in laws. I think I will say those things in my head, and keep my mouth shut.
Raymond Barone (From Everybody loves Raymond) made a speech about editing. Remember the good stuff, edit out the bad. I think it is a good way to look at this vacation, and life in general.

I lost the big bid- I was third out of 7, but the top two were the only ones to move on to the next phase. I'm hopeful they will have a problem with one of the top two, then I will be asked to participate. Pray for me if you will...

Henry is talking more every day. what a cute. The newest words are cold and please.

I'm working hard on getting my house back into order, but I just can't seem to make it happen.

More soon, I have to get away from the internets and clean, clean, clean.
