Has it been that long?

I can't believe it. I swear I thought I was keeping up. Here's a quick update:
I am still reading Harry Potter. It's getting better (I'm in chapter 16.) Full review when I'm done...I promise not to post spoilers...
For those who know, we thought we would have to buy a new water heater. Thankfully, it was only the bottom element that went bad. We doged a bullet on that one, I guess.
Also, Sammy was VERY sick last Thursday and Friday. He had a liver infection. He is doing better now thanks to antibiotics. I really thought we were going to loose him for a while there. I'm glad you are still around, old man.
Henry is amazing. He's the size of an 18month old, and smart as can be. He's making all sorts of new sounds, and he is very content to play with his toys. He's like his mama, very willful and wants what he wants when he wants it. (That's totally healthy, right?)
We will get to spend some time with Greta when she gets back from MN, and we can't wait! We did not get to see Mom and Jerome before they left, and I'm sad about that. I wish they could have made time for one last lunch or dinner before they left. Oh well.
Other than that, life has just been pretty crazy. I hope the work/life balance works itself out. I want to be in two places at once. Does every mom feel that way?
Tomorrow is August. Where has the summer gone?

99th percentile!

My boy is so advanced. At his six month checkup today, he weighed 22lbs, 9.6oz. He's not a small boy! He is so beautiful and amazing.
He had shots today, and was running a small fever. (Tylenol to the rescue!) But, I thought I would take this opportunity to blog about the things he is doing now that I may forget later.
*When he wakes up, he is always smiling in the morning
*He has two teeth now, but the top two teeth are coming in too.
*He loves to take his little hand and touch my face.
*He holds my hair in his hands like a security blanket
*He is sitting, and loves to put toys in his mouth
*When he nurses, he will stop, look up at me, and smile, just because he sees my face. He will do this several times in a row, and make himself laugh. (I laugh too...)
*He is soothed by a hand held to his cheek. He will even take somthing and hold it to his cheek if I am not there.
*His hair is coming in strawberry blonde
He is just beautiful.
At his baptism, he looked like a little angel. What a sweet boy.

Henry's 6 months old!

Can you believe it? It's on the 12th actually, but we went to get his pictures taken for the 6 month milestone. Check it out- what a cutie!
