Wow.

My last post? October 20th? When was Lila born? The 21st. Whoa. I had free time back then, didn't I?
Now, L is 7 months old, and H is 3.5. Life is hectic, but amazing. I'm so thankful for both kids- thankful they are here. Thankful I get to be their mommie.
Henry is talking up a storm, joking around, and testing his limits. (he is 3 after all...) Lila has two teeth, and never naps, but is the happiest little girl.
Life moves pretty fast...

For you, my little man.

This blog started in the first place so I could document the quest for my wonderful son. He's 2 now, and getting so big. Time really does fly by once you have children, in a way I could not really understand before I had them.
Now I'm staring down child #2 (he or she is winning the fight at this point and kicking mommie's butt) but I wanted to just make a little comment about Henry and what he is doing. This post is to help me to remember this fleeting moment in his life.

Henry,
You are an amazing and happy little boy, You love to smile, and laugh, and hug your mommie. Whenever you don't want to do something, you say, No thank you. It's really a cute response.
Whenever you do something exciting, you say "TA DA!" and I can't help but smile. It's one of my favorite things you say.
You love to play with your trains and Bob Take alongs. You talk about them all day when we are not at home.
Another one of your favorite responses, "why, yes, sure, mommie.". How cute are you?
You are funny, joking in a way I'm surprised a 2 year old knows how. It all started when you called everything in your book "socks" on purpose, and has gotten funnier every day from there.
Now, you like to tickle mommie and daddy, and if we tickle you, you pretend to laugh and say"ooooh, that tickles" even if it doesn't.
I love my time with you. Thanks for being such a great kid. Cut mommie some slack over the next couple of weeks, ok?

Thanks. You'll always be my baby too.
XOXO, Mommie

It's been forever

I have been posting little updated on facebook- not good for the blog-0-verse.
I've also been really behaving myself. No haircuts, no makeup, no manicures. Buclking down like I said I would to try and save some dough. Is it making a difference? Not really at this point. Working on other ideas to get things rolling in the right direction.
Other than that, just working as I have only 2 weeks and 6 days (or less) until baby #2 arrives.
Ready or not, here we come.
Will post more soon. Hopefully.

Faster and faster down the rabbit hole

I'm getting so close to having this baby, but we've got so much in the air, I'm just not ready.
I need to make about 30 lists full of tasks to complete, and then have an army of minions complete them. It's not too much to ask, is it?
I'm going to be working on some projects in the morning, and will start having to go to the Dr. twice weekly from now on. It's going to be a lot more time, but I am happy I'll get to see more ultrasounds of the little one. Maybe I will even have some pictures to post!
I have some new pics of my belly. I'll get Dan to download them as soon as possible.
more soon.

Primal Scream

So, I'm having some problems with the same installation from work I can not get straightened out. It stinks- if something can go wrong for this customer, it does. It makes me look bad, though I am doing everything I can to make it right. Grrrrr.
Henry is having a really hard day, I think he is just still sick and not getting over it very well.
He is doing well- we just started the toy library (have to put one toy back before you can get another out) and that is going remarkably well.
I am really excited to see some members of Dan's family for the funeral for his Aunt this weekend. It will be nice to catch up with them- most I have not seem since Henry's baby shower 3 years ago.
I need to make it through the day with a little style and a little class. Give me the strngth to make it happen, lord.
I promise I will post belly pics soon. Like, at least by the time the baby is born.

Gestational Diabetes

So, Monday I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. What does this mean? I need to watch everything I put into my mouth, eat exactly what the dr. says, and eat and test exactly when they tell me to. Not fun, but if it is good for the baby, I'll do just about anything.
So, I am learing how to count carbs and combine foods just the way they tell me to. I'm also testing my blood sugar 4 or more times a day. Ouch.
I'm just hoping for no insulin.
As of tomorrow, I will be no farther than 10 weeks away from having this baby. I'll be having the c-section on October 29th is not before, so maybe I should start buying the diapers I need and setting things up? just maybe?

Wow.

I am getting so big. Have not gained as much weight as last time, which is good, but still feeling HUGE!!!
I guess we are getting there. But wow! How much more can this poor tummy stretch?
We went swimming at a local lake today. It was really nice. Getting some work done before I maybe take Henry to a lake this afternoon.
Have a great summer day!
